The administration of the Milas Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University visited the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO) to discuss plans for an important event.

The delegation included Prof. Dr. Artay Yağcı, Dean of the Milas Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University; Dr. Neslihan Sürsal Şimşek (Department of Parasitology); and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Şimşek (Department of Aquatic Animal Diseases). The delegation met with Reşit Özer, Chairman of the MİTSO Board of Directors.

During the visit, preparations for the 1st VetWise Student Congress, to be organized by the IUSA Muğla Student Association operating under the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Milas Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, were discussed. Discussions were held regarding the planning process, content details, and participation topics for the congress, which is scheduled to take place from April 28–30, 2026, at the Muğla Atatürk Cultural Center Congress Hall.

During the visit, the importance of the congress for the region and students was emphasized, and it was noted that the event would contribute to Muğla’s academic and social life. The faculty delegation also invited MİTSO President Reşit Özer to the congress.

MİTSO Board of Directors President Reşit Özer, expressing his satisfaction with the visit, highlighted the importance of such organizations that support young people’s scientific work and stated that the chamber’s support for education and young people would continue.
