Visit from Scotland to Milas: Commercial Cooperation Discussed
Turkey-Scotland Chamber of Commerce Vice President and founding member, also The Royal Bank of Scotland Manager Muzaffer Emek and engineer Ogün Aydın working in the international engineering field visited the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO).
During the visit, the guests met with MİTSO Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer and Assembly President Mustafa Yüksel, and exchanged ideas on the development of commercial relations between Turkey and Scotland and the opening of local companies to the Scottish market.
In the meeting, while it was emphasized that Milas' economic potential in many areas such as fish production along with its European Union geographically indicated olives and olive oil should be evaluated in the international market, it was agreed on taking concrete steps to increase cooperation between the two countries.
Muzaffer Emek drew attention to the economic potential of Milas and touched upon the importance of bringing investors and business world representatives in Scotland together with entrepreneurs from Milas. Ogün Aydın shared information about the work that can be done to develop collaborations in the field of engineering and technology.
MİTSO President Reşit Özer expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stated that they support the opening of the Milas business world to foreign markets and that they are open to all kinds of cooperation in this direction.
