Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO) Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer visited Alexandros K. Konstas, Consul General of Greece in Izmir, in his office.
During the visit, a special gift package consisting of Milas' geographically indicated products and a special ceramic plate symbolizing Beçin Castle, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, were presented. Chairman Reşit Özer introduced Milas' rich historical heritage and cultural values, expressing that they are working to make these values more visible in the international arena.
During the meeting, Reşit Özer gave information about the 16th Karia, Karians and Mylasa Symposium and invited Consul General Konstas to the symposium. Saying, "Hopefully, we would be very pleased to host them in Milas," Özer stated that they desire the development of both cultural and commercial relations between Greece and Milas.
Commercial cooperation opportunities between the two countries were also discussed during the visit. Drawing attention to Milas' power in olive oil, carpet weaving, and other local products, Reşit Özer expressed his wish to develop joint projects in these areas.
The meeting ended with mutual good wishes and emphasis on cooperation by the parties.
