Visit from Bıçakçılar Mining to MİTSO
Bıçakçılar Mining Inc. officials visited Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO) Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer. During the visit, detailed information was shared about the company's activities in the sector and its contributions to the regional economy.
The Bıçakçılar family, operating in the mining sector since 1982, continues its work with the brands Bıçakçılar Mining Inc., Dost End. Ham. Inc., Gazi Doğaltaş Inc., and Alya Doğaltaş Inc. The company operates based in Milas and aims to increase regional employment with export-oriented works.
According to the company, mines are one of the fundamental elements of development, and earning foreign currency for the country's economy is of critical importance. Bıçakçılar Mining produces especially in feldspar, quartz, bauxite, manganese, chromium, and marble fields in Muğla, Aydın, and various regions of Turkey. Söke, Milas, and Çine districts are among Turkey's and the world's highest quality feldspar and quartz production areas.
The company not only supplies raw materials to ceramic factories in the domestic market but also exports to countries such as Italy, Spain, America, China, and Croatia abroad. Bıçakçılar Mining continues to strengthen its competitive position in the international market with value-added product works.
During the visit, it was emphasized that Bıçakçılar Mining was among the companies included in the “Aegean's Export Power Gathered in Muğla” program and received a plaque for its achievements and contributions within the scope of the program.
Aiming to create employment for 800-1000 people in its 12,100 m² factory under construction in the OIZ in Milas, the company plans to provide additional employment for 250 people with its new factory planned to be opened in Söke in 2026.
Reşit Özer appreciated the contributions of Bıçakçılar Mining to the regional economy and its investments in the development of the sector during the visit.
