Bayram Barun, Chairman of the Board of AEGEAN EGE GIDA SAN. ve TİC. LTD. ŞTİ., one of the member companies of Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO), visited MİTSO Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer.

During the visit, the success achieved by the company after winning a gold medal at the Olive Istanbul IOOC 2025 & 4th International Table Olive Quality Competition recently was evaluated. Also, views were exchanged on new season preparations, production processes, and the export potential of Milas olive oil.

Bayram Barun stated that the gold medal they won with Milas Olive Oil, which is Milas' EU Geographically Indicated product, is a great source of pride for them and said, “This award means the registration of the quality of both Milas and our producers in the international arena. We have completed all our preparations for the new season. Our factory is ready for production. Our priority is to increase export opportunities by maintaining our quality.”

Barun said that AEGEAN EGE GIDA has 4 brands; they participate in domestic and international fairs with Milas Aegean İnci, Milas Aegean Mercan, Milas Aegean Nefes, and Milas Aegean Şifa brands. Stating that they will also enter olive manufacturing this year, Barun expressed that they have added especially green and oily olive production as well as soap production to their portfolios.

MİTSO Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer congratulated AEGEAN EGE GIDA on their international success and said, “We are proud that our producers from Milas receive worldwide awards. The gold medal AEGEAN received once again proved the quality of Milas olive oil. As MİTSO, we will continue to stand by our producers at all times.”

The visit ended with wishes for Milas olive oil to gain a stronger place in international markets, raising production standards, and increasing branding efforts.
