Turkish Patent and Trademark Office Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Muhammed Zeki DURAK, Geographical Indications Department Head Hakan KIZILTEPE, Innovation and Promotion Department Head Salih KOCA, Innovation and Promotion Department Branch Manager Mete Kıvanç ÜNALTEKİN, Private Secretary Kaan IŞIK visited Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assembly President Mustafa YÜKSEL and Chairman of the Board Reşit ÖZER in his office.

Prof. Dr. Muhammed Zeki Durak presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Reşit Özer for his contribution and cooperation in the registration of our geographically indicated products, which are a part of the local development move.

They stated that geographical indications add great value to brands as well as raise awareness among producers, and also contribute to the increase in quality in production.

They expressed that Milas is a very rich region with products unique to the region.

Evaluations were also made to obtain geographical indication for many new Milas products.

MİTSO Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer said, \"We have made our applications to obtain geographical indication for some of our products unique to Milas. Our preparations are continuing for some of our products. We are working to make Milas a brand.\" He stated that they were pleased to host the executives of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office at MİTSO.
