Reşit Özer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO), welcomed Metin Aksu—owner of the Hermetica brand, which has put Milas on the global map with the awards it has won at international olive oil quality competitions—to his office.

Metin Aksu, who operates in the Kızılca neighborhood, provided MİTSO Board of Directors Chairman Reşit Özer with information about the medals he has won at the Athena International Olive Oil Competition, Olive Istanbul IOOC, London IOOC, and various other international competitions.

Murat Adalı, who is also Aksu’s nephew and produces under the Lionesse brand in the Şenköy neighborhood, is making a significant contribution to Milas’s success with the awards he has won in international quality competitions for Milas Memecik olive oils. Aksu and Adalı, who as a family are committed to high-quality production, continue to enhance the global recognition of Milas olive oil through the international accolades they have earned.

During the visit, the rise of Milas olive oil in international markets, the importance of quality production, and the benefits that the geographical indication provides to producers were discussed.
