Special Training for World Day for Safety and Health at Work Held Hosted by MİTSO
Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO), hosted another important event to prepare young people for the business world. On Wednesday, April 28, a training program for students was organized within the scope of World Day for Safety and Health at Work at the MİTSO Meeting Hall in cooperation with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Milas Vocational School.
The training was given by Class C Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Kazım Güneş, working at Muğla Genç Hekim Joint Health and Safety Unit. Comprehensive information on subjects such as risks they may encounter in business life, prevention of occupational accidents, and creation of safe working environments was transferred to the students.
Milas Vocational School Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Günlük and Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer also attended the event.
MİTSO Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer pointed out that occupational health and safety culture should be gained from an early age in his statement and said:
"It is of great importance that our young people who will step into business life are equipped not only with professional knowledge but also with a healthy and safe working consciousness. As the Chamber, we are always supporters of such trainings. Our aim is to contribute to the young people in our region stepping into business life in an equipped, conscious, and safe manner. I thank Milas Vocational School and everyone who contributed for this cooperation."
Milas Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Günlük touched upon the importance of preparing young people for the business world and noted:
"Not only theoretical knowledge but also applied trainings are of great importance for our students to become ready for the working conditions they will encounter after graduation. Occupational health and safety is a fundamental topic in this sense. Thanks to such collaborations, our students' vision develops, and they step into the sector more consciously.
