Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO) successfully represented Milas by attending the 6th Turkish-Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry Board Meeting held in Izmir on July 7, 2025.

MİTSO Chairman of the Board and TOBB Foreign Relations Commission Member Mr. Reşit Özer attended the meeting. Mr. Özer met with chamber presidents and representatives from Arab countries within the scope of the meeting and shared comprehensive information about Milas' agricultural production, industrial capacity, commercial potential, and historical and touristic values.

At the meeting, views were also exchanged on the development of existing economic relations between Turkey and Arab countries, the creation of new areas of cooperation, and the increase of mutual investment opportunities. Mr. Özer drew attention to the fact that Milas can gain an important place in international markets with its geographically indicated products, especially in olive and olive oil production.

Following the meeting, geographically indicated olive oil, table olives, and olive oil soap unique to Milas along with fish, honey halva, and Turkish delight were presented to Arab guests as souvenir gifts by MİTSO. This meaningful gesture was welcomed with great satisfaction by the participants. Arab country representatives expressed their thanks to Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its hospitality, stating that they are open to closer cooperation in commercial relations with Turkey.

MİTSO resolutely continues its efforts to promote Milas' values on international platforms and develop collaborations that will contribute to the regional economy.
