The introductory meeting of the “Muğla City Economy Report 2025” prepared by the Muğla Planning Agency (MUPA) was held at the Turkey Contemporary Life Center under the chairmanship of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras. Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO) Chairman of the Board Reşit Özer also attended the meeting.

MUPA Chairman of the Board Tansu Özcan, MUPA Secretary General Ezgi Tugay, and representatives of many institutions and non-governmental organizations from across the province also took part in the meeting. Comprehensive evaluations regarding Muğla's economic indicators, population structure, seasonal densities, and social transformation processes were shared. Prof. Dr. Cem Okan Tuncel presented Muğla's economic data and statistics belonging to previous years.

MİTSO President Reşit Özer said in his statement after the meeting, “Such studies are of great importance in terms of the sustainable growth of our regional economy and the increase in welfare in basic sectors such as agriculture and tourism. As MİTSO, we will continue to contribute to this process.”

At the end of the meeting, thanks were extended to Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras and MUPA officials who contributed to the preparation of the report.
