The 29th EMITT Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair, held at the Istanbul Fair Center, served as an important platform to showcase Milas's production capacity, gastronomic richness, and cultural heritage. At the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality stand, Milas, which participated in the fair in collaboration with Milas Municipality and Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO), attracted visitors' attention with its unique identity.

In the area allocated to Milas, local and geographically marked products specific to Milas, especially olives and olive oil, were exhibited. Milas's gastronomy tourism potential was shared with industry representatives through products reflecting the district's agricultural heritage and local production culture. Local and foreign visitors attending the fair learned about the production process, quality standards, and branding efforts of Milas products.

Commenting on the fair, Reşit Özer, Chairman of the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the importance of EMITT for Milas, stating:

"The EMITT Fair shows that tourism is a multifaceted field that must be approached not only in terms of accommodation but also in terms of production, gastronomy, and local values. As Milas, we prioritized promoting our products, which we produce and add value to along with our history, at this fair. Our geographically indicated products represent both the economic and cultural power of Milas."

Reşit Özer also emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation in promoting Milas, stating that participating in the fair together with the Milas Municipality under the umbrella of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality increased the visibility of the district. Özer said, "We believe that these efforts, carried out in harmony with our local administrations, will increase Milas' share in tourism and directly benefit our local producers."

It was noted that the contacts made at the Milas stand during EMITT 2026 will provide important gains in terms of new collaborations, marketing channels, and promotional opportunities, and it was stated that Milas's approach of addressing production and tourism together will continue in the coming period.
