Hosted by the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO); the "Meeting on Combating Varroa in Beekeeping and Legislation Information" organized in cooperation with the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Milas Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, TKDK Muğla Liaison Office, and MAYBİR was held with intense participation.

In the program;
• Oxalic acid applications in combating varroa by Dr. Ali SORUCU,
• Beekeeping and bee product processing-packaging supports within the scope of IPARD III by TKDK Muğla Liaison Office Supervisor Murat NESLİHANOĞLU,
• Current beekeeping legislation by Veterinarian Alptuğ DEMİRCAN and Zootechnist Fadime TÜTÜNCÜ
were explained in detail.

The meeting, where the problems experienced by beekeepers in the field were expressed and mutual exchange of views took place, was completed efficiently.

At the end of the meeting, MİTSO provided support for practical use in combating varroa by distributing oxalic acid and spray bottles to beekeepers. Participants expressed their satisfaction with the organization, stating that the information presentations and the support provided were very valuable.

MİTSO management thanked all participants by emphasizing that inter-institutional cooperation for the development of the beekeeping sector will continue and support activities will increasingly continue.
