It has been decided to support the “Branding of Milas Geographically Indicated Products” project, prepared by the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO), under the South Aegean Development Agency (GEKA) 2026 Technical Support Program. The beneficiary agreement prepared under the project was signed by GEKA Secretary General Ümit Gülyağı and MİTSO Board of Directors Chairman Reşit Özer.

The project aims to strengthen the branding processes of Milas’s geographically indicated products, increase their promotion, and enhance their added value. Through the project, which will include training and consulting activities, the goal is to raise awareness among local producers regarding branding and to help their products reach broader markets.

Promoting Milas’s rich gastronomic and cultural values—which stand out in Turkey for the number of its geographically indicated products—is also among the project’s key objectives. The project aims to establish a stronger brand identity for Milas’s local products in both national and international markets.

Reşit Özer, Chairman of the MİTSO Board of Directors, noted that the project represents a significant step toward promoting Milas’s geographically indicated products and empowering producers, and expressed his gratitude to GEKA for their support.
