FRAUD BY COMMUNICATION (INFORMATION NOTE)

Fraud crime, in its most general sense, is intentional acts committed to provide benefit to oneself or someone else by deceiving a person with various tricks. Fraud crime differs according to its types. The most common fraud method encountered throughout our country is fraud committed via telephone in the form of "Top-up/Money Fraud". In telephone fraud incidents; suspects call victims by phone using developing technological opportunities and introduce themselves as police, soldiers or prosecutors. These people build fictional events with some unrealistic promises and defraud our citizens by abusing their good intentions and feelings of benevolence. Fraudsters who introduce themselves with fake titles such as police, soldiers, prosecutors call people by phone and threaten them with scenarios such as; Their bank account will be emptied by a terrorist organization or a crime syndicate, Their phone line is used by a terrorist organization or crime syndicate, Their name is mentioned as a criminal in an incident, The money in their accounts will be withdrawn and taken under state guarantee, An investigation has been started to identify and catch the suspects, a secret operation is being carried out, and they will be detained if deciphered, Since the gold and jewelry in the residence are among the items seized in a theft incident, they should be put in a bag or suitcase and left at the specified place, Since it has been learned that the bank account is used by a terrorist organization, the money needs to be transferred to the given account number to secure the money in the bank account, They will return the money at the end of the operation, creating fear and panic and defrauding our citizens.
