Expectations for Support for Milas from MİTSO President Ahmet Aras
Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras, Republican People's Party Muğla Deputies Gizem Özcan and Cumhur Uzun, CHP Party Assembly Member and Muğla Deputy Süreyya Öneş Derici, CHP High Disciplinary Board Member Av. Remzi Kazmaz, CHP Muğla Provincial Chairman Nail Kızıl, CHP Milas District Chairman Ahmet Kılbey, Milas Mayor Fevzi Topuz, and department heads in Muğla visited the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The visit was also attended by Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board Chairman Reşit Özer, Assembly Chairman Mustafa Yüksel, Vice Chairman Hasan Tiryakioğlu, Board Treasurer Soner Çamlıbelen, and Board Members Seyhun Ozan and Koray Türkoğlu.
Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, MİTSO Board Chairman Reşit Özer stated that the interest shown in the cultural, social, and economic development of Milas was extremely valuable. Chairman Özer particularly emphasized that they expected support from Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras regarding the establishment of an exhibition and convention center in the district, which is among Milas' urgent needs.
Özer stated that the exhibition and convention center would make significant contributions to Milas's economic, commercial, and social life, adding that the realization of this investment was of great importance for the district. Özer also drew attention to the support given to archaeological excavations in Milas, stating that support for the creation of area management plans for the Hekatomnos (Uzunyuva) Tomb and Beçin Castle, which are on the UNESCO Tentative List, would make a significant contribution to the national and international promotion of Milas.
During the visit, the treatment processes of two babies named Göktuğ with DMD in Milas were also brought to the agenda. Mayor Özer stated that the sensitivity shown and the support provided during this process are of great importance for society and expressed his expectations for support in this regard.
Özer also reminded that Milas has 14 products with geographical indication registration, two of which are registered with the European Union, and stated that the presence of these products at sales points belonging to Muğla Metropolitan Municipality subsidiaries, municipal facilities, and social areas would make a significant contribution to local producers.
Özer thanked the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality for its support for domestic and international fairs and added that they hoped this support would continue to increase.
The visit concluded with messages of cooperation and joint work for Milas.
