The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, attended the Turkey-Egypt Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Cooperation Forum hosted by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry ahead of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's official visit to Egypt.

Reşit Özer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO) and also Rapporteur of the Foreign Relations Commission, also attended the forum. Özer held talks on promoting Milas's local and geographically marked products in international markets and developing trade. In this context, a cooperation agreement was signed in the field of local products.

The meeting was attended by Salih Mutlu Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Cairo, Ahmed Al Wakil, President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and businesspeople from both countries. Discussions focused on Turkey-Egypt trade relations, opportunities for cooperation, and the Mersin-Alexandria and Iskenderun-Damietta Ro-Ro services.

At the forum, cooperation agreements were also signed between the chambers and stock exchanges of the two countries in many areas, including industry, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, logistics, and construction.
