Ahmet Aras Listened to Milas’s Concerns and Expectations at MİTSO

Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and President of the Union of Coastal Municipalities, department heads of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, and Fevzi Topuz, Mayor of Milas, MİTSO Assembly Members, Board of Directors Members, and Professional Committee Chairs, attended the “Milas’s Challenges, Expectations, and Proposed Solutions” meeting hosted by the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO). The meeting addressed Milas’s priority issues, investment needs, and future projects.
Following a moment of silence and the playing of the National Anthem, the opening remarks were delivered by MİTSO Board of Directors Chairman Reşit Özer. Özer highlighted Milas’s economic and cultural potential and articulated the district’s top priorities.
Following this, Milas Mayor Fevzi Topuz, Orhan Dinç—Chairman of the Board of Directors of Muğla Maritime Inc. and President of the IMEAK Chamber of Maritime Trade’s Bodrum Branch—and Mustafa Yüksel, Chairman of the MİTSO Assembly, addressed the participants and shared their assessments regarding Milas’s development. and Orhan Dinç, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MUTTAŞ Maritime Services Inc. and Chairman of the Bodrum Branch of the IMEAK Chamber of Maritime Commerce, addressed the participants and shared their assessments regarding Milas’s development.
Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras, who delivered the closing remarks, provided information on the Metropolitan Municipality’s initiatives and projects for Milas.
During the meeting, a dossier prepared by MİTSO outlining Milas’s priority expectations was presented to Mayor Ahmet Aras. The dossier included topics such as support for the UNESCO World Heritage process, a culture and convention center, a modern exhibition area, the Milas City Museum, transportation investments, the integration of historical structures into tourism, and the promotion of geographically indicated products.
Following the speeches, the meeting proceeded to a question-and-answer and consultation session, during which the views, suggestions, and requests of council members, board members, professional committee chairs, and businesspeople were heard. The meeting concluded after mutual evaluations.
