Ümmet Yavaş, owner of YAVAŞOĞLU BÖREK EV DELICACIES REGIONAL PRODUCTS FOOD AGRICULTURE TOURISM CONSTRUCTION ENERGY INDUSTRY AND TRADE LIMITED COMPANY, visited Reşit Özer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO), and Mustafa Yüksel, Chairman of the MİTSO Assembly.

During the visit, the Milas Tepsi Böreği—which has been granted a geographical indication registration by MİTSO—took center stage. Ümmet Yavaş treated MİTSO Board of Directors Chairman Reşit Özer and Assembly Chairman Mustafa Yüksel to the geographically indicated Milas Tepsi Böreği.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the preservation, promotion, and transmission of Milas’s local culinary traditions to future generations, while the contributions of products with geographical indications to the district’s economy and culinary tourism were also addressed.

Reşit Özer, Chairman of the MİTSO Board of Directors, emphasized that they attach great importance to promoting Milas’s products with geographical indications, noting that businesses that preserve these values and pass them on to future generations play a vital role.
